Just a little heads up before we start: #EcoBappaMorya is an environmental awareness video! In India there is a large section of people who work 20 hrs a day, only to make the ends meet.
They have no time to educate themselves on larger environmental issues. They pray to lord Ganesha with genuine sentiments and when they see Large Size idols of Lord Ganesha their eyes swell up with devotion and hearts get filled with joy.
Many of them opt for Plaster of Paris (PoP idols) because is easy on their restricted pockets.
We cannot taunt or blame or ridicule them because we haven't lived their lives and we haven't felt their pinch!
But yes, we can educate them and make them aware. Because they are genuinely unaware of the serious & larger effects of PoP idols to the environment and #climatechange.
This large section of people, may themselves don’t own a phone but many of them have kids who now have basic smartphones & internet connection, this is for them...
Campaign 'Eco Bappa Morya' will go to government schools, other schools and also to the more humble settlements to create great awareness & the idea is also to make them realize that "Lord Ganesha WILL NOT measure their devotion on the basis of size of the idol which they choose to pray".
We can go back to our roots and make lord Ganesha idols the way they were made in the good ol’ days, from the mud found in the compound of one's home's or from kitchen ingredients.
This cause has been close to my ♥ since my school days!
So finally..
I penned down my thoughts and feeling in this screenplay.
We also discovered Chinu Kawatra and his relentless team of #BeachWarriors.
While I collaborated with @MaximusFilms to support me implement my vision.
And I found great support in Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna’s ideas of eco-friendly idols & his commitment to environmental issues .
We all know how the SEA and ENVIRONMENT POLLUTION has become a big CONCERN FOR PANIC in India and World.
Plaster Of Paris and Ocean Life dose not go together. Period.
But Thankfully we have more Eco-friendly Idols and Options than ever before!

Its not the Time to Blame and Ridicule... Its Time to Change Mindsets and Come Together as One to Save Our Own Planet.
