Medications that slow down metabolism: One of the reasons for plateau in weight loss is medication. There is a long list of medications that could body metabolism somehow, challenging weight loss and making it difficult:
1) Corticosteroids, such as prednisone.
2) Birth controls pills, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) after menopause.

14) Anti-Malaria, such as Artemisinin.
