Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said G-7 nations need to work together to ensure a global economy that does not leave anyone behind. Alternating between speaking English and French at a news conference at the G-7 summit in Biarritz, France, Trudeau outlined the key issues addressed at the meeting of international leaders. Asked whether he would approve of U.S. President Donald Trump's suggestion that Russian President Vladimir Putin should be invited to next year's summit, Trudeau said he has not shied away from conversations with Putin but that Russia's past actions have made it ineligible for inclusion in the G-7. Trudeau also cited the fires in the Amazon as the latest example of why action must be taken against climate change.
