“Worship in Spirit and in Truth” out of John 4:6-21. Many Christians in today’s world rarely focus on the simple command: In this study we will look at the story of the woman at the well. The woman at the well had failed in multiple relationships due to seeking happiness in all the wrong places. She had five divorces and the current man she was with was out of wedlock which was the sixth man in her life. The number seven in God‘s kingdom represents completion. Seven brings absolute completeness and wholeness into our lives. Jesus was the seventh man in her life. He introduced to her a way that was eternal. A water that would quench her thirst for eternity. That water is the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus went on to say that true worshipers the father in heaven is seeking are those who worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Like the woman at the well we all have past failures. We all have sin in our past that has drawn us away from God and has disrupted our relationships with those in our lives. However when Jesus comes into our lives to be our Lord and Savior, He brings the principles and will of God into our lives through the Holy Spirit helping us to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Therefore elevating our relationship with God. As a result, it also elevates our relationships with all others in our lives such as our wives, our children, our extended family, coworkers, neighbors, friends, and the family of God. Worshiping God is living to please God which is the key to having true “Peace” in our lives. Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. AMEN!
