若いころ、ろくに調べもしないでこの歌を口ずさんでいたら、友人に、「そこは、オフェ～リアァ～～～、じゃなくて、アクウェ～リ～ア～スだよ」と言われ、恥ずかしかったこと、今でも覚えています。
そこでリベ～～ンジです。この曲は、ロック・ミュージカル「ヘアー」の最初と最後の曲を合体させたものなんだそうです。メロディーはトランペットにコーラスを混ぜてみました。すてきなハーモニーがインストだけで再現できるかどうかがポイントです。
後半のレット・ザ・サンシャイン・インは、同じテーマが何回も繰り返されますが、合間合間に入るアドリブっぽいせりふが、微妙に変化して行くのと、全体に流れるランニングベースも次第に動きが激しくなって行くところが聴きどころです。その辺を意識して聴いていだだけると嬉しいです。
When I was young, I happened to sing this song to myself, and my friend advised me "It's not 'Ophelia' but 'Aquarius'". I was quite embarrassed about that. So, now I'd like to revenge it.
The point is to recreated the beautiful harmony of The Fifth Dimension by musical instruments only. I mixed the sound of Trumpet and Choir for the main melody to create their harmony.
As for "Let The Sunshine In", the same theme is repeated many times, but ad-libbed melody between the phrases are changing gradually, and the bass is also running aggressively. I hope you'll enjoy them.
