Gardai from Cork call to my Dwelling while I was working

Gardai from Cork call to my Dwelling while I was working Someone is going to get into serious hot water if they keep wasting the time of the Gardai. They could have been needed elsewhere and for more important things. Sending the Gardai to someones dwelling on false pretenses is a serious matter. Only my wife and children were there at the time.

I think the strangest thing about yesterday was that while Fiona O'Leary was apparently making 'spurious' complaints to the Gardaí about Ben Gilroy and I.
I was working...
I wasn't just working at an ordinary job though.

I was contacted by someone that has a child with autism and they had moved into a new home. The child could not sleep due to noise penetrating their bedroom and I was asked if I could do something about it.

What I did was construct a sound proof wall about 6 inches away from the existing wall. I isolated the whole structure from the floor, ceiling and walls on acoustic foam. I used polyurethane closed cell foam to bung up any areas that would allow even the tiniest air/sound to get through. Then I built a complete 'floating wall' from timber that makes no hard contact with anything (and yet have it sturdy) then I filled it with 150mm soundproofing rock wool.

After that I used a specialist sound damping product by Gypsum 'Soundboard' (Which is basically plasterboard 12.5mm thick 8' x 4') bedded onto the wall structure with an acrylic flexible compound (To help isolate sound even further) screwed the plasterboard three quarters the way in to hold it there until the flexible compound had time to set up.

Then I finished securing the soundboard screws and sealed around the whole thing with another flexible acrylic product. Filled all screw heads and every seam.

I drove home and waited for the news.... DID IT WORK ???

Well this morning I got fantastic news :-) The child slept in the room... :-D :-D I was so relieved and delighted at the same time.....
