Ethics are defined as a set of moral principles or values. Etiquette is defined as the conduct or procedure required or prescribed by authority to be observed in official life. So far, the two seem in sync – ethical behavior is that required for the practice of law. Etiquette is alternately defined as the customary code of polite behavior among members of a particular profession. Polite? Attorneys? Can the concepts peacefully co-exist?
