Alternate tuning lick idea|lesson

Alternate tuning lick idea|lesson Well, just an idea to try out if yer bored of your usual scales and pentatonic stuff. This just basically extends the range w/o having to move your hand higher and allows for octaves on the same fret. With the D and G strings tuned to B and E respectively, you can just replicate any shapes you do on the last 2 strings down to the G and D strings and get an octave lower w/o changing your hand position or shapes! Paul Gilbert did something along these lines with arpeggios and then an 11 year old kid named Anton Oparin played it in STANDARD TUNING. ffs. As far as every kid I've ever watched play guitar on YT, that kid was probably the most technically advanced picker ever at his age. Lisa X and Tina S are great but this guy... he was just amazing.
