A few weeks back I stumbled upon a great Crappie Fishing Spot and it just so happened to be the train trestle from the Stand By Me movie train scene. My buddy Dean told me to fish the bridge at Lake Britton and that he had heard it was a good Crappie Spot. Right when I showed up I started catching Crappie. After a bit I looked at Google Maps on my phone to estimate my travel back to the launch and I noticed the bridge was called the Stand by Me Bridge. It all made sense at that point and I kept catching Crappie. This is really a great spot and it's not too far from Redding CA. If you are in the area Lake Britton is a great lake to fish and the Stand by Me Bridge is an excellent Crappie Spot... just don't take them all.
