Bail justice tells Bourke St inquest he was unaware of James Gargasoulas's criminal past | ABC News

The volunteer bail justice who freed James Gargasoulas days before he went on a rampage in Melbourne's Bourke Street has told an inquest police didn't make a "song and dance" about him being a danger to society.

He was called to give evidence at the inquest which is looking into how police responded to the 2017 incident, and the treatment of Gargasoulas prior to the attack.
