Bellamy's baby formula's $1.5b Chinese takeover bid approved | ABC News A Chinese takeover of a Tasmanian infant milk formula company has been approved by the Federal Government.

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says China Mengnui's $1.5 billion bid for Bellamy's Australia can proceed.

But, as Political Editor Andrew Probyn reports, the takeover comes with enforceable conditions designed to ease domestic concern about the acquisition.
