#Juliana, #Michael 90 Day Fiancé fans have had a lot of new couples to catch up with now that Season 7 is in full swing. One of the couples making a bigger splash is Michael Jessen and Juliana Custodio. The two are bridging quite an age gap, with Jessen almost twice Custodio’s age.

While some fans are bound to be critical of the couple, it seems as if Michael Jessen is fully aware of what his relationship with a younger woman looks like to others, and he’s ready to shut down the haters. Or so he claims. However, the couple is facing another hurdle — there seems to be some suspicion that Juliana Custodio has been a sex worker in the past.
Given Michael Jessen’s financial success, perhaps it’s no surprise that the 90 Day Fiancé couple met under somewhat luxurious circumstances. Jessen, 42, met his new love during a yacht party hosted by his friend in Croatia. Jessen was also quick to mention that there were some famous faces involved.

“My fiancée’s name is Juliana. She’s from Goiania, Brazil. Juliana and I met on a big yacht party that a friend of mine was throwing in Croatia. There were a lot of celebrities there,” Jessen told People.

Jessen added, “I remember when I first saw her. She’s beautiful, amazing body — I don’t necessarily believe in love at first sight, but it’s like we were kindred spirits.”
Jessen explained that it wasn’t long before he realized there was more to Custodio than a pretty face. Custodio is “funny, she’s thoughtful, she’s smart,” gushed Jessen of Custodio. Custodio, meanwhile, is an aspiring model, which seems to be a recurring theme with many of the 90 Day Fiancé cast members lately.

Ready to deal with the hate
Michael Jessen is apparently very aware of what the age difference in his relationship might look like to the public eye. Jessen is a wealthy, older man, and his wife-to-be is a young, foreign model. He says he knows it looks like a sugar daddy situation, but that it’s not one.

“It’s never bothered me at all because living in it, I understand it. And if I could understand from an outsider’s perspective there would be many judgments that people would leap to and that doesn’t bother me one bit. People are welcome to think, feel what they want to. We’re together, we love each other, it’s very much real,” explained Jessen during an interview with E! News.


Jessen went on to say, “We’ve made a very big decision to spend the rest of our lives together. The only person I care about when it comes to how they feel about our relationship is Juliana.”

According to Custodio, she fell in love with Jessen right away, but she couldn’t speak English. “When I saw his green eyes and smile, I just melted. I really wanted to talk to him, but I couldn’t speak English at this time,” she explained.
While Jessen and Custodio seem prepared to address sugar daddy claims, there have been other rumors floating around. These rumors suggest that Custodio has a history in sex work.

One of the promos for the new season features Jessen loudly exclaiming that Custodio isn’t a prostitute. Naturally, this fanned the speculatory flames, and fans began to wonder if Custodio was hiding something from everybody. However, Jessen says that’s not the case.

“We were asked during Juliana’s visa interview in Rio de Janeiro if she had worked as a prostitute within the last 10 years. And, of course, the answer was no. She’s not a prostitute!” Jessen explained to the New York Post during an interview.

According to Custodio, the question simply made her uncomfortable. It seems this may be a common question immigration officers ask during the process.
