Meghalaya cabinet passes amendment to Resident Safety & Security Act 2016 in form of an ordinance Meghalaya Cabinet today passed the amendment to the Meghalaya Resident Safety and Security Act 2016 or MRSS in the form of an ordinance which will be regularised in the next session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
Informing this Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong said that as per the amended version not just tenants but people visiting the state, be it for studies, business or any other purposes will have to provide the required documents and the time period of their stay.
