For any copyright, please send me a message.  A “miracle dog” has been found alive in the rubble in the Bahamas — one month after Hurricane Dorian slammed into the islands and trapped the pooch, according to news reports.  The 1-year-old, mixed-breed pup — aptly named “Miracle” by his rescuers — was trapped under air-conditioning units and survived only on rainwater, CNN reported Tuesday.  Big Dog Ranch Rescue, the Florida-based canine rescue company, said the dog was “skeleton-thin and unable to walk” when he was found in Marsh Harbour on Friday.  Chase Scott, a spokesman for the group, said Miracle was nearly crushed to death when a building collapsed on him during the monster storm, trapping the dog under broken glass, an air-conditioning unit and building debris.  Hurricane Dorian walloped the Bahamas as a Category 5 hurricane last month, devastating sections of the archipelago that are expected to take years to recover.  The dog was found at 9:30 a.m. Friday by a drone using infrared technology, Lauree Simmons, president and founder of the dog rescue group, told WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach.  “They texted me and they said, ‘Urgent, we need a plane now,'” she said. “We had a plane there within an hour.”  The dog will be put up for adoption once he heals, she said.  “It’s truly a miracle that he survived this long on his own,” Simmons said.
