Modifying Pietta's 1860 Revolver Rammer for Conical Bullets

Modifying Pietta's 1860 Revolver Rammer for Conical Bullets When I modify a Pietta 1860 Army revolver to fire paper cartridges with conical bullets, I usually just replace Pietta's ball rammer with the Uberti counterpart, which is manufactured to fir the nose on conical bullets.

But a lot of viewers have told me that they would like to re-configure the existing Pietta rammer instead of dropping 20 bucks on the Uberti part. So, I get asked a lot, how they should go about it.

So, this video is for those folks. It provides step by step instructions to machine an inside cone on your Pietta rammer.
