No Way Back Space Debris. When space pollution poses existential threat

No Way Back Space Debris. When space pollution poses existential threat When humans started venturing into outer space, they left behind the remains of discarded spacecraft which have formed an ever-increasing ring of orbital debris. This space pollution already leads to collisions, big and small. These could have extremely worrying consequences for the world’s economy, and even for international relations.
NASA expert Don Kessler, who founded the agency’s Orbital Debris Program Office, Roscosmos experts and a Russian International Space Station cosmonaut talk to RTD about the dangers associated with space debris. To find out how this space junk can be cleaned up, RTD also speaks to Luca Rossettini, the CEO of D-Orbit, an Italian company working on new ways to decommission satellites safely.
