The project, known as Project Dragonfly, was a censored Internet search engine designed by Google that was created to comply with China's state censorship rules. Critics such as Google employees and users, human rights groups, and U.S. politicians have criticized Google and its Project Dragonfly for promoting censorship, violating human rights, and strengthening the Communist Party of China. In this paper, we will analyze ethical issues such as whether software corporations like Google should be allowed to use technology to promote unethical issues in society like censorship and whether or not they are obliged to be transparent with their employees that they are working on technology that is unethical.
