How Often Should I Stretch To Get Flexible? As more people are finding the need to be more flexible and loose, they often ask me how often they should stretch?

My answer is simple. How fast do you want to get flexible?

The more often you stretch, the faster your able to get your muscles and tendons to loosen up. You are going against 2 variables:

1. Accumulated Tension: The old tension and tightness from the years of not stretching. It’s an accumulation and takes time to chip away at it. You can’t go to extreme or you will pull or tear something.

2. Daily New Tension : the tension that gets created everyday when we stay in positions like sitting or laying down that keeps our bodies staying stiff.

Stretch as often as you can through out the day. Anytime when you get an opportunity, wherever your at, just do what you can.
