In this episode of Abbey’s Kitchen, I want to cover a topic that I get asked about a lot and that is the idea about food addiction. I had to put my full lab coat on for this one. Before we get into it, I just want to say that I have tremendous empathy for those of you struggling with the feeling of food addiction. I know that a lot of you describe feeling out of control with certain foods and you can only describe it as an addictive experience with food and might feel like you need some sort of abstinence from those foods to feel in control. I am not discounting your lived experience, however I want to give you some tools and guidance that is informed by the literature.
