Physics 101 Lab. Project- Relation between time and mass in a motion on an inclined plane When we neglect the friction, net force acting on a body is equal to component of its weight. Rolling friction has a slight effect on a body compared to others that is why we choose round bodies. We expect that time will not change when the mass changes because Newton's 2nd law says that Fnet=ma. In this case mgsina=ma, masses simplify each other. gsina is constant because we are on earth during the experiment and we do not change the incline.
