Westfield Parramatta: Christmas shopping promotion ends in stampede

Five people were hospitalised when a promotional Christmas event ended in a stampede at a shopping centre in a Sydney's western suburbs. This video shows how the crowd scrambled for balloons filled with free gifts and toppled a barricade. The stampede occurred after an event billed as the 'ultimate mega balloon drop'. Some shoppers suffered chest, neck, leg and back injuries
