AN EASY PEASY GARLIC SLICER IS A GREAT WAY TO KICK OFF THE NEW YEAR

AN EASY PEASY GARLIC SLICER IS A GREAT WAY TO KICK OFF THE NEW YEAR You need a lot of garlic to make a simple pasta (with garlic, extra virgin olive oil, tomatoes, grated cheese and parsley) and I found a great Garlic Slicer from Oxo on Amazon.com. You just put a couple of peeled cloves into the hopper or what Oxo calls the food holder, place a plunger over the garlic wit the teeth down and slide the garlic back and forth over a double-sided blade that cuts in both directions. Near perfect slices, and couldn't be easier. (When I say in the video, "it's not perfect," I was referring to the food holder or hopper coming detached from the blade portion of the slicer; it's easily remedied.) By the way, I added a can of organic diced tomatoes and a little red wine to the sauce of oil, garlic and pasta water.
