Hi Everyone, welcome back to my channel! In today's video I'll be talking through my routine following new orchid purchases, how I check for and treat pests and prepare for repots, and a few ways I help new orchids adapt to my environment and the potting media change. I believe the steps I take help to reduce transplant shock, since I tend to get very little root death with phals, even when converting to semi-hydro. I try to explain in this how I make my decisions, as each new orchid may need slightly different treatment, so hopefully this is helpful. My filming station also turns into a temporary quarantine zone!
Also, I'll introduce the orchids I got in my last ever Elsner Haul, which I ordered before they closed down.
