Singapore secured S$15.2 billion in fixed asset investments in 2019, nearly 40% more than in 2018. Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing said the Republic is looking ahead with "guarded optimism". He added that Singapore is optimistic about the future due to several factors, including Asia's growth outlook and the demand for urban solutions. Singapore is also locking in digital free trade agreements with as many countries as possible, amid the rise of the digital economy.
