Currently the President of South Korea is extremely abusing his political power, because of this the suffering citizens are gathered in one place hoping for a change. The president has appointed multiple justice minister one after another that are in his personal favor and would aid him in every aspect of his political dictatorship. The former justice minister that president has appointed has been indicted with dozen charges including bribery, document fraud, manipulation of evidence, public service ethics law violations, and using their position falsifying documents regarding family investments and efforts to gain university admissions for his children.
The president is also creating an independent investigative organization. According to the plan, the organization will be empowered to investigate and indict all top-ranking government officials, including the president, law makers, judges, prosecutors and members of their families. Once the prosecution organization forms, the head of this department also will be appointed by the president giving them absolute power. This position will gain so much authority, can even start or stop an on going corruption case against any officials. The president can use this group like his personal sword and shield during his political term. Shockingly the recently indicted and awaiting for trial, former justice minister Mr. Cho Kuk has publicly posted on his facebook stating "i am so happy that the law of forming the organization bill has passed it makes me want to cry in tears!"
Additionally the new justice minister that has been appointed again by the president is Ms. Choo Mi Ae, she has been in his political party since the beginning of his campaign. She has now gained the power to command the head of prosecution. This meaning if the new independent organization was ever formed before Mr. Cho's prosecution, the indictments against him might have never been authorized.
