Activity Explanation: When to Give

The final step of developing your giving plan is deciding when to give. Note the dates you will give in the column titled “Dates of Gifts”.
If you are using a donor advised fund, list the fund as an organization on your giving plan. Put the date you will contribute to the fund in the “Dates of Gifts” column. For organizations that will receive funds from the donor advised fund, the date in “Dates of Gifts” is when you will schedule a disbursement from the donor advised fund to the charitable organization.
