Your gps is showing you only have a quarter mile to walk to the geocache. It doesn't tell you that that quarter mile includes a 300 foot deep canyon between your start and your destination. Remember that the compass doesn't tell you anything about the terrain you're about traverse. You suck it up and go find the geocache. But remember you have to walk back!
