James Ray fell off the face of the earth in 1964. His big hit was "If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody" ( He recorded the original version of George Harrison's hit, "Got My Mind Set On You" ( The Beatles liked James Ray and considered him "a hero" (Tune In: The Beatles: All These Years, page 565). Wikipedia says James Ray died "circa 1964". No one really knows what happened to him, when he died or where he's buried.
