A federal MP has abandoned the parliamentary sitting week to head back to his North Sydney community that is suffering as storms ravage its beaches. In an exclusive interview, Liberal MP Jason Falinksi has revealed he’s pushing both his federal and state colleagues to do more to protect homes from coastal erosion.
“It should have already happened,” he said.
“This sea wall should have been finished by now. We knew after 2016 that this was a major problem.”
