A little bit about me :
I am a fur-mom to 2 fur-babies. Both hear things miles away, and bark at a leaf falling. The oldest, Emma, is the inspiration for all things Pawnix. Two years ago Emma pulled a Houdini, and ran away during the 4th of July fireworks display. That is probably the scariest couple of hours of my life. The thought of Emma in a shelter, or never finding her again is the worst. Luckily she was and in the neighborhood, but others are not as lucky. I do not want this to happen to you and your dog.
As a graduate from Michigan State University in Packaging Engineering, I always liked to be a jack of all trades, and I strive to never stop learning. When setting out to develop a noise cancelation device for dogs, I had to relearn and master physics, electronics, mechnical engineering, and sewing skills. When I exacerbated the different search engine algorithms and viewed everything I could via "Instructables," I set out to find others that new the audio space to continue to learn from. With some good friends and extended acquaintances from my extensive network, I was able to create the prototype for Pawnix. I then interviewed different manufacturing teams, and didn't stop when I was told it could not be done. I continued to ask quesetions until I found partners that would look at the science and testing data, and not what seemed like an insurmountable journey, and got them on board to the Pawnix team. Because of a great idea and persistence, I launched Pawnix. With the right idea, and drive, anything can be done.
This is why I am sharing my journey with you, so that you too can start to follow your dreams.
