Prime Minister challenged over his future trade deal with the EU

Prime Minister challenged over his future trade deal with the EU The Prime Minister has used a speech at the Old Royal Naval College to make clear he is seeking a looser trading arrangement - saying there was no need for the UK to follow Brussels' rules any more.

For the EU - it's chief negotiator, Michel Barnier made clear that approach would lead to restricted access to the European market.

Mr Johnson said if he wasn't offered a deal similar to the one negotiated with the EU by Canada, he would be prepared to walk away when the Brexit transition period expires at the end of this year.
