North Florida Soaring Society has a number of club gliders. Check us out at Herlong airport. We typically fly most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Club meetings are the 3rd Saturday (at 10am) of each month at the Herlong FBO building. We have ~80 members from high school students to pilots with years of experience. Several have gone on to the Naval and Air Force Academy after learning to fly with us. We also have pilots who are associated with the CAP and they provide O-flights for youth CAP members. Additionally, if you are interested in racing sailplanes, we have several members who regularly fly in competitions across the USA in regional and national soaring competitions, and internationally on the US Soaring team. We can help guide you so you can acquire the tools and knowledge needed to begin sailplane racing. Check us out ... you'll be glad you did!
