Five men who allegedly took part in a riot in Choa Chu Kang on Feb 27 have been taken back to the scene as part of investigations. They were among 13 men who were arrested within about 24 hours of the riot. It is believed a group of five and a group of eight wanted to hurt each other. Police seized weapons including a knife, metal rod and knuckle dusters. The suspects have been charged with either rioting with a deadly weapon, or unlawful assembly while carrying a deadly weapon. The maximum penalties are five to 10 years' jail and caning.
