'Higher' was written together with the Danish artist and songwriter, Ann Christine, and was the result of their very first songwriting session. "At that time Cymo wasn't living in Berlin yet, but was in town for some sessions. A mutual friend in business had suggested that we meet and work together - and I'm so grateful we did," says Ann Christine about their first meeting. "We were sitting on a balcony in Neukölln, drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. The sun was shining. It was the perfect moment to write a song like that," Cymo says and continues: "We wanted to give the listener a way to put his or her mind on vacation for three minutes (or on repeat)."
For the final production of the song, they joined forces with Deon from Tiavo (guitar), Peter 'Fonty' Albertz (co-production), Benny Hermann (award winning mixing engineer) and Lex Barkey (multi-platinum, diamond award winning mastering engineer).
