- Today's video is all about women. But not just for women, for you guys, this is an amazing place for gifts. Come on in! Hey, gang, Scott with the Scott Gaertner Group and today we're up at Diva Divine at the intersection of Pinnacle Peak and Scottsdale Road. And this is a true family business. Father, mother, daughter. Greg, Cathy, and Angela. We want to get you guys to know them a bit because they're actually, one of 'em will always be here, right, if you come in?
- Absolutely.
- And, by the way, many of you will remember across the street, rawhide was there all those years, it was just desert rawhide. They were here. I don't know what they were doing, but there's still people coming up. Well, tell us a little bit. Thanks for having us in here but tell us a little bit about you guys.
- Well, they've been around for 25 years which I think is amazing for them, for most of the 25 years, probably about 15 of it, they did it themselves, they were in the store, seven days a week sometimes, in the summers it'd maybe trickle back to six days a week but seven days a week, doing it all by themselves. I give them mad props for that because on their feet all day, so they did a great job and then just in the past six years, I became involved once I had my son instead of going back to the corporate world, I decided to get more involved in the boutique. And it's been a lot of fun being able to work with my parents day in and day out and even bring my sun in sometimes and he helps open the door for people and it's just a great family atmosphere.
- Well, and that seems to be. I mean, actually a family atmosphere where you actually know your customers, right?
- It's a fun business. We definitely get to know our customers and their children and so forth, yes.
- [Scott] You guys have so many different things here. It seems like this'd be a cool place for Christmas when I forgot again or Valentine's Day. It seems like you have just about everything. What all do you have?
- Well, we have tons of apparel, that's our top thing. We have big lines like David Klein, a more mature customer could wear it but it's great for travel. As you can see, it comes pre- with the wrinkle look so you don't have to worry about that in your luggage.
- That's the look. I'm not wrinkled, that's the look.
- That's the look and it's lightweight for Arizona summers, which is a big thing, a lot of women want to cover their arms but still have something that's breathable, so this works perfect. And for the younger gals, we've got Chaser, which is a great brand, and, of course, the Arizona nod with the cactus. You can do flamingos, we've got, this is our Page Jeans. This jogger has been amazing, we have it in three colors. We really do help people when they come in, find something that's going to work for them. Sometimes get them to think outside the box. My mom is really great about getting people in the dressing room with something they thought they would never want to try and they love it, so, it's really fun.
- That is cool, that's another a level. And I can tell, it's not like it's going to be a pressure thing. You need to buy something! It'd be kind of a fun thing, right? Like, here, try this, just see if it works? Right, kind of?
- Absolutely. And it's actually kind of a joke. Sometimes my mom will literally talk people out of buying something because she doesn't want them to feel like they bought too much at once and then be scared to come back in so I'm kind of, like, look at her sideways like are you really trying to make them not buy some--
- Downsell?
- Yes, but it is. We want people to feel comfortable in here and part of the family. We're not trying to sell them something that they don't want or need. They can just come in and look. There's no pressure.
