She shares an overview of the considerations for recommending medicinal herbs in clients who are taking pharmaceuticals Martha has over 40 years experience in medicine, including clinical laboratory director, medical school professor, and Ayurveda practitioner. Her background in drug metabolism/ pharmacokinetics and interest in medicinal herbs led to a 5-year NIH grant to study drug-herb interactions, and she has taught these principles to medical students, herbalists, and Ayurvedic practitioners/doctors.
