How the government healthcare system failed during the 2020 Delhi riots

How the government healthcare system failed during the 2020 Delhi riots Did the injured victims of the Delhi riots that took places in the last week of February 2020 have access to proper medical care?. An investigation by the People's Health Movement- India revealed that the government health care system in Delhi failed miserably to treat these patients. The investigation found that:
Authorities of government hospitals did not record and report the injuries appropriately. The injured were not provided with Medico-legal Case numbers. Mohalla clinics were broken and were running out of supplies. Guru Teg Bahadur hospital treated these patients hurriedly while many were asked to leave. Few of the injured who went to LNJP(Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital) said that the hospital refused to treat them. The injured also reported communal remarks made by the hospital authorities. Out of fear many victims did not go to these hospitals as these were institutions set up by the government. There have been also a number of reports of ambulances being damage and delay in treatment. There is now a worry that people fleeing from the riot-affected areas will overcrowd adjoining areas
causing hygiene and sanitation problems.
