We recommend using 2 brand new RBC12 wiring harness sets. Older cables may have corrosion or weak connections which can affect the performance of your system.
Double sided heavy duty adhesive tape.
The first step is to measure the voltage of each battery to make sure the voltage is above 12.6V. When you purchase the entire kit or batteries alone, we ensure the batteries are voltage matched and are from the same manufacturing batch.
Each RBC12 set consists of two cartridges, and each cartridge is made up of 4 batteries. For this video, we will not actually be sticking the batteries together, but you will need to if you are assembling yourself.
Carefully follow along as to how we connect the battery wires to each terminal. Incorrectly connecting the wire can cause sparks to fly and potential damage to the batteries. There is a diagram linked in the blog post below which you can reference as well.
You will need to repeat the assembly steps for the second RBC12 battery cartridge prior to installing in your APC backup UPS system.
