Before we start you have to understand the possible causes of the fear of taking a punch in a fight.
There are 3 simple factors. The first is being hit actually hurts (it’s a pain response), the second is you can’t see the punches (it’s the fear of the unknown), third, you’re not mental prepared for being punched (this is the emotional response).
In short, the expectation of pain combined with the fear of the unknown and lack of will lead to an increased fear of getting punched in a fight.
