Two massive explosions were recorded with ash content from the Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico.
After days of increased activity, the warning level remains set at “Yellow Phase 2”, with Mexico’s National Guard urging people not to approach the volcano.
The volcano is located 45 miles (72 kilometres) southeast of Mexico City.
Around 25 million people live within about 60 miles (100 kilometres) of the Popocatepetl crater.
