Dozens of protesters rallied at the University of California Los Angeles campus on Sunday to demonstrate against Donald Trump Jr.'s latest book presentation held there.
The protesters were confronted by Trump supporters with police officers deployed to secure the area.
One of the protest organisers, Atlas Winfrey, said that allowing Trump Jr. to speak in public equals to "unleashing white supremacists in the streets, just like when Trump said that immigrants are rapists and criminals who are invading the country, that inspired the El Paso shooter."
Trump supporter of a Mexican origin, Louie Rios, accused rival protesters of falsely calling Trump supporters "white supremacists."
"They are the ones that do not do their research, they don't take the time to listen to facts and they and they don't accept reality for what it is. That's the difference that separates Trump supporters and them," said Brandon Recor, another Trump supporter, while talking about his opponents.
Trump Jr. is currently on tour presenting his latest book "Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us."
