Jammu and Kashmir internet shutdown: Supreme Court has ruled that the right to internet access is a fundamental right protected under Article 19 of the Indian Constitution that guarantees Freedom of Speech. The Court asked the government to apply reasonable restrictions on the internet in exceptional cases and only when there is no alternative.

Delhi Police press conference on JNU violence: Police have named members of AISF, AISA, DSF and SFI in connection to violence in JNU server rooms and Periyar Hostel. The police have also named JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh, Chunchun Kumar, Pankaj Mishra, Waskar Vijay, Sucheta Talukraj, Priya Ranjan, Dolan Sawant, Yogendra Bhardwaj, and Vikas Patel as suspects. Of these, Yogendra Bharadwaj and Vikas Patel are believed to be associated with the youth wing of the RSS - ABVP. However, the police did not name ABVP. Neither the police had anything to say over assault on journalists and Yogendra Yadav at JNU Gate.

Saurabh Dwivedi also discusses the latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data. Watch video to find out more.
