China locks down Hangzhou, mega-city far from epicentre of coronavirus outbreak

China’s mega-city of Hangzhou in the eastern province of Zhejiang has been under a lockdown since February 4, 2020, in an effort to curb the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus. As of February 6, more than 28,000 cases had been confirmed in mainland China, with over 150 of the infections reportedly in Hangzhou.
