U-S Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo has voiced alarm over Turkey's testing of its Russian-made missile defense system. Pompeo said the United States has made it clear to Turkey that Washington wants to see Ankara move away from full operation of the S-400 air defense system. Turkey recently tested the system on US-made F-16 jets. Meanwhile, Russia has announced plans to sign a new contract with Turkey to sell it more of the missile system. Turkey began receiving the missiles from Russia in July despite pressure from Washington and its threats of sanctions. But Turkey says it will not give up the defense system.
