We also use the word stretch when we're talking about money. Sometimes when you don't have a lot of money left, you have to stretch your money, or you have to stretch every dollar so that you can live till the end of the month. Sometimes you only have a little bit of money left. Maybe it's already the 20th or the 25th of the month, and you don't get paid until the end of the month. You will need to stretch your money. You will need to stretch every dollar so that you can make it to the end of the month and have enough money to buy food and to do the things that you want to do. So, when you say something is a bit of a stretch, it means that it is an exaggeration. And when you say that you need to stretch your money or stretch every dollar, it means that you are going to budget your money so that you don't spend too much of it. Anyways, Bob the Canadian here.
